"Ahon Cebu! A Concert For A Cause" Raises Funds For Quake Victims

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia—The management and talents of Kuy's Grill and Restaurant, a Filipino restaurant in Riyadh, successfully organized recently “Ahon Cebu! A Concert for a Cause” in partnership with the Rotary Club of Mandaue East. The benefit concert was held to raise funds for the victims of the recent earthquake that struck Cebu Province.

According to Malik Mariano, Entertainment Manager of Kuy's Grill and Restaurant, the initiative was driven by the team’s desire to extend help and hope to their fellow Filipinos in need.

"This benefit concert and donation drive was initiated by the KUYS Management. We believe that we should share our blessings while encouraging our guests to do the same,” stated Mariano.

The event showcased performances from Kuys’ in-house talents and guest artists, who came together to uplift the Filipino community through music and unity.

On top of the donations gathered during the concert, Kuy's Management also pledged an additional contribution to support recovery efforts in Cebu.

Around ₱50,000 will be donated to assist the affected families and communities as they rebuild their homes and livelihoods.

Rotary Club of Mandaue East expressed gratitude for the partnership, saying, “We are deeply thankful to Kuy's Grill and Restaurant and the Filipino community in Riyadh for extending their compassion to our kababayans in Cebu. Acts of kindness like these remind us that distance does not diminish the Filipino heart for service.”

This initiative once again reflects the enduring Filipino spirit of “Bayanihan”—showing that even far from home, Filipinos continue to stand united in compassion, generosity, and hope.
