STEVENAGE, Hertfordshire—ENFID-UK and the Filipino-British Community of Stevenage successfully held on 21 November 2025 the 14th “Diaspora to Dialogue” (D2D) forum, themed “Living with Artificial Intelligence (AI): Truth, Work and Wellbeing in a Digital Age.”

Organised in partnership with the local government and supported by Councillor Myla Arceno, the event examined how AI is reshaping the lives of diaspora communities in the UK.

High-level guests included Stevenage MP Kevin Bonavia and Mayor Nazmin Chowdhury, underscoring the relevance of the discussion. Moderated by former ENFID-UK Chair Christian Estrada, the event also welcomed ENFID delegates from across Europe, including Annabel Mayo (Italy) and Marizel Rojas (Austria).

A distinguished panel of experts shared insights on AI’s impact across sectors:

• Dr. Felipe Romero-Moreno (University of Hertfordshire) explored AI’s legal and ethical challenges, from data protection and deepfakes to freedom of expression.

• Professor Rami Wakim, Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Co-Founder of Avenues IVF Clinic, discussed AI’s growing role in reproductive health and personalised care.

• Shella Sandoval, CNIO and Digital Clinical Safety Officer at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, highlighted how digital technologies support frontline nursing and patient safety.

• Donna Avellana Künzler (ABB Robotics, Zurich) examined AI’s transformative power in robotics, industry operations, and workforce evolution.

D2D once again provided a crucial space for dialogue, empowering communities to navigate both the opportunities and challenges of an AI-driven future.
