Michigan-based Filipino fashion designer RC Caylan has reached the largest attendance at a fashion show with 3,618 attendees, according to the Guinness Book of Record.
"It's very humbling to be recognized - and break a Guinness World Record - I am forever grateful that this opportunity and experience was entrusted to me; this recognition does not only belong to me, it is also for the community and everyone who came last October 3, 2026, to witness the history-making," Caylan told The Filipino Correspondent Network (TFCN).
" I think ako ang kaunaunahang Filipino American Fashion Designer to hold Guinness World of Records for most attended Fashion show without a performance and models of any celebrities- especially we are celebrating Filipino American History Month," Caylan said.
At the ArtPrize Awards Ceremony & Fashion Show, Caylan showcased the “Renaissance” Spring Summer 2027 Collection with 68 Runway looks.
It took place at the Acrisure Amphitheater, Grand Rapids, Michigan last October 3, 2026.
"The largest attendance at a fashion show is 3,618, and was achieved by RC Caylan and ArtPrize (both USA) at Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, on 3 October 2026," the Guinness Book of Record said.
"This fashion show capped off a weekslong celebration of culture in Grand Rapids, Michigan during ArtPrize, an international art competition. ArtPrize transforms the downtown into a massive, city-wide art gallery that attracts nearly a million visitors annually."
RC Caylan’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection explores personal empowerment through a modern, multidisciplinary approach to design.
The collection brought together extreme femininity, fluid masculinity, and elegance.
Textured materials, sculptural draping, lightweight silks, and both refined and bold embellishments create contrast across the looks.
Each silhouette is thoughtfully constructed with an emphasis on proportion, shape, and flattering the wearer.
The collection was designed and created over the course of one year at RC Caylan Atelier in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
