SHARJAH, UAE — Residents across the UAE can access free breast cancer screenings throughout October as the Pink Caravan campaign expands its annual awareness drive across all seven emirates.
Run by Sharjah-based charity Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), the 2026 campaign runs from October 1 to 31 and includes more than 75 clinic activations, fixed screening sites, mobile units, workplace visits and community events.
Free clinical breast examinations and mammograms will be offered, subject to eligibility.
"Early detection remains one of the most important tools we have in improving breast cancer outcomes, and our priority is to make screening as accessible as possible to communities across the UAE," said FOCP Director Aisha Al Mulla in a statement.
Clinical breast examinations are available to women aged 20 and older, while mammograms are available to eligible women aged 40 and older. Screenings are open to men as well as women.
Nine fixed clinics will operate throughout the month: Mushrif Mall in Abu Dhabi; Mall of Al Ain and Makani Zakher in Al Ain; City Walk in Dubai; Al Majaz Waterfront and Al Dhaid Mall in Sharjah; Mall of UAQ in Umm Al Quwain; RAK Mall in Ras Al Khaimah; Lulu Mall in Fujairah; and Marsa Ajman in Ajman.
Mobile and mini-mobile clinics will also travel to residential neighborhoods, universities, workplaces, government entities and public destinations. The full schedule and registration details are available through Pink Caravan’s official channels.
Last year’s campaign delivered more than 19,000 free screenings, reaching 17,458 women and 2,244 men. Organizers say early detection remains critical to improving breast cancer outcomes, and those requiring further assessment will be referred to partner hospitals and oncology centers.
