Las Damas De Rizal Abu Dhabi Launches Breast Cancer Awareness Season 2

ABU DHABI—Season 2 of the Breast Cancer Awareness project under Las Damas Cares of Las Damas de Rizal Abu Dhabi was launched last Oct 18,2025.

The event was primarily attended by the OFW Cancer Warriors-AUH, led by founder Francis Rosana. Proceeds were donated to support the warriors’ needs.

The Philippine Embassy graced the event with the presence of Consul General Arvic Arevalo, Deputy Head of Mission, and Mrs. Caroline Ver, wife of Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso Ver.

Also present were Dr. Christina Solis Micor, a Lifestyle Medicine Specialist, and Dr Tamara Al Keileh, a General Surgery Specialist. They shared their valuable insights. On the theme: “Living Well Through Breast Cancer: Body, Mind, and Momentum – Nourish the Body, Calm the Mind, Empower the Journey.”

The project was Initiated by Dr. Aileen Villanueva, founder and president of Las Damas de Rizal Abu Dhabi in 2023. Current President Lady Mechelle Gegalao is championing the cause with the strong support of the Knights of Rizal, Abu Dhabi.
