Soon-to-be Mom Lovi Poe Stars In Hollywood Movie ‘Bad Man’
WEST HOLLYWOOD, California—Multi-awarded Filipina actress Lovi Poe is thrilled to have been part of the international movie ‘Bad Man’, which is now showing in United States theaters on September 5.
Poe, who is barely two weeks to giving birth to her first child by husband British film producer Montgomery ‘Monty’ Blencowe, told the TFCN that making this movie “is a dream come true”.
She admitted that she was quite intimidated at first by the film’s power cast but eventually she got along with them and had so much fun filming this movie.
“Bad Man” is an action comedy which stars ’American Pie’ Seann William Scott. The production marks the feature directorial debut of Michael Diliberti who co-wrote the screenplay with JJ Nelcon.
The film premiered at the Sidewalk Film Festival on Aug. 24, 2025 and was released in theaters September 5.
Poe, who was FAMAS Best Actress awardee in 2010, is the daughter of legendary action star Fernando Poe Jr.
The 34-year old Poe plays the role of Izzy, the love interest of a strait-laced local deputy Sam Evans (Johnny Simmons). Filmed in Alabama in December 2023, “Bad Man”, inspired by a true story, is about a local deputy who tackles a meth epidemic in a small town Colt Lake, Tennessee. Evans is sidelined on the arrival of Bobby Gaines, an undercover agent. Despite Evans' local ties, Gaines is hailed as a hero. Suspicions arise concerning Gaines which unravels a complex narrative.
C’est Lovi Productions, founded by Poe in 2023, is one of the co-producers of the film.
