Masonic Lodges Partner with Red Cross for Successful Blood Drive
LOMITA, California - Two neighboring Masonic lodges, Palos Verdes Masonic Lodge No.883 and Angels Gate Masonic Lodge No. 198, have joined hands with the American Red Cross for a community blood drive at the Lomita Masonic Center in California.
Driven by the Masonic principle of relief and brotherly love, the successful event filled dozens of blood bags, helping replenish local blood reserves.
Cris Bayani of Palos Verdes Masonic Lodge said the successful blood-letting activity proved that even in modern times, the ancient principles of the Masons—charity, relief, and brotherly love—remain as vital as ever.
Bayani expressed his gratitude to all that made this Masonic activity a huge success.
"We didn’t just meet our quota—we surpassed it! Because of the selfless donors who stepped up, lives will be saved. That’s the power of the Brotherhood in action.
"And to the Brethren and Atengs who brought and shared all the amazing food—you kept the donors, volunteers, and staff fueled with love and fellowship. The table was overflowing because our hearts were, too. This is what unity and service look like. Two Lodges, one purpose, countless lives touched. So proud of what we accomplished together. So mote it be!," Bayani said.
Aside from Bayani, the other coordinators of the blood letting event were: Bro. Erick Tesoro, Bro. Zar Canent, Bro. Manny Marcos and Bro. Ranel Bongayan.
Masonry is the world’s first and largest fraternal organization. It is guided by the enduring belief that each man has a responsibility to make the world a better place.
For 300 years, Freemasonry has enhanced and strengthened the character of individual men by providing opportunities for fellowship, charity, and the search for truth – within ourselves and the larger world.
The mission of the Masons of California is to foster personal growth and improve the lives of others.
It is also guided by the enduring and relevant principles of their fraternity: Brotherly love.
They value respect, freedom, kindness, tolerance, and their differences - religious, ethnic, cultural, social, generational, and educational - and strive for harmony in their individual lives, in their lodges, and in the global community.
They also take responsibility for the well-being of their brothers, their families, and the community as a whole.
In the spirit of the true Masonic principle, they also provide relief through philanthropy, community involvement, and delivery of excellent care.
