
NAIA Security, Bawal nang Hawakan ang Passport sa Terminal Entry at Security verification
PASAY CITY, PH — Hindi na otorisado ang security personnel ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) na hawakan ang pasaporte ng mga pasahero pagdaan sa terminal entry at security verification.
"To better protect your travel documents and reduce unnecessary contact, all NAIA security personnel have been instructed not to touch passports during terminal entry and security verification," saad ng anunsyo ng pamunuan ng NAIA sa lahat ng pasahero nito.
Batay sa NAIA advisory, kailangan lang malinaw na ipakita ng pasahero ang kanilang valid ID at travel document sa airport security.
"Passengers will simply be asked to show their valid ID or travel document by holding it up themselves."
Bunsod anila ito ng insidente kamakailan ng isang napingasang passport sa airline check-in counter ng NAIA Terminal 3.
Iyan ay kahit pa wala namang naganap na "mishandling" o kapabayaan sa panig ng NAIA security.
Nais lang ng paliparan na maiwasang magkaroon ng anumang sira ang passport.
"As the airport operator, and in the spirit of teamwork with all stakeholders, we continue to take proactive measures to ensure the safety and security of all passengers," saad ng advisory.
Ayon sa NAIA, nakikipagtulungan ito sa lahat ng stakeholders para maiwasan ang anumang insidente na maaaring magdulot ng problema sa mga pasahero.
"We are working closely with our airline partners, the Department of Transportation (DOTr), and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to strengthen procedures and make sure incidents like this do not happen again."
