Over 1,000 Runners Of Various Nationalities Join Tristar Half Marathon 2026 In Dubai

DUBAI, UAE—More than a thousand runners, including children, of different fitness levels, participated in the 3rd edition of the Tristar event today at Expo City Dubai, Sunday, 18 January 2026.

The event had multiple categories including the 21km half marathon, 10km, 5km, and 3km races.

Registration fees were highly subsidised to encourage more community participation.

Finishers received medals while the overall champions in 10km and 21km took home trophies and cash prizes.

The event also included a special attraction for families joining with kids with entertainment and fun activities, as well as an awareness campaign about road safety and traffic.

The event T-shirt were made from recycled plastics, mostly from the water bottles used for the race which were recycled into new products, including the t-shirts they wore.

“This is the third year in succession that we are organizing this signature event for Tristar. We are very happy with the response received and I am sure it will be a great day for everyone to enjoy and have fun. As we always say Aim High Tristar," said Tristar Group Chief Administrative Officer Balaji Nagabhushan.

Meanwhile, Eugene Mayne, Founder and CEO of Tristar, told TFCN that they are planning to make the next edition of the Tristar Half Marathon bigger by including all of the seven emirates in the UAE.

"We are trying to scale this up and one of the ideas we are just brainstorming is to hold this simultaneously same day same time in all the seven emirates. This is the plan now... and see how we can make it happen," said Mayne.
