PAL Direct Manila-Dubai Flights to resume October 2
MANILA — Philippine Airlines (PAL) will resume direct flights between Manila and Dubai beginning October 2, 2026, restoring an important air link between the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Philippine News Agency reported.
PAL said it will initially operate four flights a week between Manila and Dubai, with plans to gradually increase the service to daily flights, subject to operational considerations.
The Manila-Dubai route will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, providing additional travel options for overseas Filipinos, business travelers, tourists and cargo customers.
“The resumption of Dubai flights will strengthen connectivity for overseas Filipinos, business travelers, tourists, and cargo customers traveling between the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates,” PAL stated in a media release.
The airline also highlighted Dubai's role as a major gateway to destinations throughout the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
The return of PAL's Dubai service comes as travel between the Philippines and the UAE becomes more convenient for eligible Filipino travelers.
PAL Offers Introductory Fare
To mark the return of the route, PAL said it will offer an introductory round-trip all-in fare starting at USD650 for a limited period, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Cebu Pacific also restores Dubai service
PAL’s announcement follows the resumption of direct Manila-Dubai flights by Cebu Pacific on July 2, 2026 after a temporary suspension prompted by security concerns in the Middle East.
Cebu Pacific initially restored the route with four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Flights from Ninoy Aquino International Airport operate as 5J 14, while the return service from Dubai International Airport operates as 5J 15.
The airline said the route was reinstated following safety assessments and coordination with aviation authorities in Dubai. Passengers affected by earlier cancellations were allowed to rebook their flights or convert their tickets into travel funds through the airline's online portal.
The restoration of services by both Philippine carriers gives travelers between the Philippines and Dubai more flight options, while strengthening an important air corridor used by Filipino workers, families, tourists, businesses and cargo operators.
Visa-on-arrival in the UAE for qualified Filipinos
Filipino passport holders may qualify for visa-on-arrival privileges in the UAE if they hold a valid visa, residence permit or Green Card issued by the United States, European Union/Schengen Area, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Canada or New Zealand, subject to UAE immigration requirements.
