LOS ANGELES, California—Philippine Airlines (PAL), the country’s flag carrier, is offering another round of attractive and exclusive discount package for the first 50 seats that would be booked for the 2026 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour, as part of its continuing commitment to bring home Filipinos living abroad to experience their country’s culture and landscapes.

During the launch of next year’s VIP Tour at the Philippine Consulate General of Los Angeles (PCGLA)’s community hall last October 14, PAL sales and marketing executive for Los Angeles Mitty Abellar Torres encouraged those who are interested to join the VIP Tour should acquire the earliest booking to avail of the airline’s promotional discount. The VIP Tour 2026 launch was coincided with PCGLA’s commemoration of Filipino American History Month (FAHM).

“The earlier you book, the better rate you can get,” Torres said. The rates cover the 10-day, 9 nights stay including hotel accommodations, airfare and all taxes and fees. Next year’s VIP Tour will take place in Manila, Dumaguete and Cebu on July 12 to 21, 2026

The VIP Tour, formerly called Ambassadors, Consul Generals and Tourism Directos (ACGTD) Tour, is an annual event organized by the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (PDFA), the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT), and Rajah Tours, with special airfare rates provided by PAL. Other travel agencies partners of the VIP Tour 2026 include: GTT Global,Leisure Life Travel Agency, Mondee and Skybird Travel & Tours.

The itinerary and destinations of every VIP Tour give an opportunity for Filipino- American families and other US residents to visit and reconnect with their heritage and explore the country's culture and history.

In 2025, the VIP Tour went to Manila, Siargao and Puerto Prinsesa. It had nearly 200 participants from across the Untied States, with a specific delegation of 148 members from San Francisco, California and Seattle.

Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles (PCGLA) Consul General Adelio Cruz said they are conducting an aggressive marketing campaign for next year’s VIP Tour to hopefully have at least 200 participants from Los Angeles alone.

“We are hoping that we could invite at least 200 participants from our jurisdiction alone,” Cruz told TFCN, in an interview in the sidelines of the tour’s launch at PCGLA headquarters.

Started in 2005, VIP Tour is a flagship project of the Philippine Foreign Service Posts in the United States, led by the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. Participants of the tour are not only offered a chance to revisit their homeland but also become tourism ambassadors of the Philippines.
