Filipino Culture Featured At Around The World Golf & Gourmet Adventure At Singapore Island Country Club

SINGAPORE—The Philippine Embassy in Singapore joined the member-exclusive event of Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) entitled “Around the World Golf & Gourmet Adventure” on 30 August 2025, its signature annual event celebrating global cultures through culinary delights and premium golf experiences.

The SICC is one of Singapore’s most prestigious and historic golf and country clubs, formed in 1963 from the merger of the Royal Singapore Golf Club and the Royal Island Club. The club is recognized for its rich heritage and recreation facility, which has been a cornerstone of Singapore’s golfing and social scene for over a century.

The dinner event featured themed gourmet tasting booths representing international cuisines, allowing SICC members and guests to indulge in authentic global flavors within one of Singapore’s prestigious golfing communities.

The Philippine Embassy showcased Filipino culture through a vibrant collaboration with its Filipino food, performance, craft, and travel partners. Food trek partners Second Serving delighted attendees with iconic Filipino street snacks including taho and fishballs, while Lechon Republic brought excitement with its blockbuster lechon, an emblem of Filipino culinary heritage.

Entrepreneur partners Maison Inabel, Filshopper, My Fair Artisan, and Holiday Girls presented handmade Filipiniana weaves, Barong Tagalog, artisanal crafts, and accessories by Filipina designer Farah Abu, all of which highlighted the Philippines’ rich traditions in weaving and craftsmanship. Travel partners Philippine Airlines, The Farm at San Benito, in partnership with Mount Malarayat Golf & Country Club, and Quest Plus Clark and Mimosa Plus Golf Course complemented the Embassy’s presence by promoting the Philippines as a premier destination for wellness and golf tourism.

During the dinner, the Filipino Dance Club Singapore performed a festive number infusing traditional and contemporary dance  likeTinikling,Cariñosa,Pamaypay, and more into upbeat, modern music which revolves around celebration, gatherings, and sports, highlighting the essence of a Filipino Fiesta.

The “Around the World Golf & Gourmet Adventure” exemplifies the Embassy’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and exchange, fostering meaningful connections among the Singapore Island Country Club’s distinguished members and guests through a vibrant showcase of Filipino heritage, cuisine, arts, and hospitality in collaboration with our valued Filipino partners.
