Wine From France For The Typhoon Victims Of Uwan

PARIS, France—Three Filipinas from France stood united to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Uwan in Quezon by selling wines produced by a French married to a Filipina. Sarah Risser-Maroix with her husband Eric of the Chàteau Franc Capet- the vintner who donated their expertise of the Grand Vin de Bordeaux.

Rissa shared “Kapag kailangan ng Pilipinas, we don’t hesitate. This is more than business.” She added, the wines are not ordinary wines. Each label tells a story. Each bottle represents hope. Ara with her husband Cedric Gaillard -owner of Majestic Hotel which was transformed into a sanctuary of solidarity.

“Ito ay tungkol sa ating kababayan at sa ating pamilya”, Ara said with tears in her eyes.” Margo Calderero Le Lain of ACCESS supported by her husband Jean Claude – the visionary who united ART and humanitarian aid. ”Quezon is my home province and nakita ko ang devastation at kung gaano ito kalakas. Hindi pwedeng hind tayo tutulong.”

From the Thanksgiving dinner for a cause held at the Majestic Hotel in Chàtelaillon-Plage and through the help of some friends and kababayans who came all the way from Paris and assisted in the set up, 200 bottles were pre reserved and counting. Big thanks to the Filipino community and local French supporters who who have given their support and generosity.
