ARTESIA, CALIFORNIA-The National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) Greater Los Angeles successfully held its 5th largest Annual Philippine American Friendship Day with a theme “Celebrating Friendship Through Cultural Diversity” at Artesia Park, Artesia City.
The day kicked off with a parade of community organizations. Some 65 vendors and food booths also participated.
The entertainment was highlighted by 4th Impact, a Filipino girl group of sisters: Almira, Irene, Mylene and Celina Cercado.
This dance and singing sensation show group that competed in the 2015’s 12th season of the British talent show The X Factor is now under the Sony Music Philippines label.
Other Filipino American artists and talents performed during the event including: Jules Graeser, Garth Garcia, the tandem Donita Rose and Felson Palad, Filipino-American Symphony Orchestra, Zumba with Mark Almeria and Nonie Belarmino, Synergy Kids, Hula O’Hoaloha Hawaiian Dancers, Josie Empleo & Company, Cerritos High School’s Magkaisa Club and 11-Sharp Quartet and Erick Esteban. Jessica Cox, the first armless licensed pilot also gave an inspirational message.
